Feb. 9th, 2018 01:13 pmWhenever I'm around, everyone in my family addresses my nephew with my name. We're both the second child with an older sister.
As soon as I come into thought, just knowing I'll be around, my parents and sister start calling him Steven. My nephew and I like to point out that it's when he's being ordered to do something... get a chair... get the beer... that he becomes me. It's a source of amusement in my family. Does this happen to other people? Not just misnaming someone, but role-based misnaming?
